Special note: The name of the event center wasThe Monarch, but the owners are changing it to The Marchesa, so we have updated the references on our site to reflect the new name. It is still exactly the same building and location, though.

Yet another special note: The Holiday Inn Austin Midtown recently underwent a name change; you may find it on maps and online travel sites listed by its old name, the Radisson Austin North; however, the hotel itself and the room rate are not affected -- only the sign on the outside. We just wanted to mention it to route around any potential confusion.

Is that a lot of "special notes" about name changes? Yes. Yes it is. But we can tell you one thing: even if the city of Austin decides to change its name, Texas Linux Fest is remaining exactly the same.
